Dubai – 11 September 2026

Mohamed Monaiseer’s solo exhibition 85 Seconds To Midnight opens on 15 September 2026 at Tabari, Gate Village, Building 3, Podium Level, DIFC, Dubai, exploring history through cycles, repetition and the blurred boundary between imagination and reality. Developed during the artist’s residency at Can Serrat in Spain during the war on Gaza, the exhibition reflects on recurring patterns of war, occupation and power across different contexts and generations.

The exhibition brings together drawings, paintings, sculptures, textile works and a video installation, drawing on literature, folklore, oral histories and contemporary media. Armoured figures, pixelated forms, fragmented grids and recurring imagery explore how conflict is represented, remembered and mediated through technology and storytelling.

The title refers to the Doomsday Clock and humanity’s proximity to catastrophe. Through repeated images, figures and patterns, Monaiseer examines how stories of violence can shape collective memory and perceptions of conflict, while drawing connections between contemporary warfare and older forms of storytelling.

The exhibition will run until 1 October 2026, with an artist talk and opening reception taking place on 22 September 2026 at Tabari.
