Dubai – 23 October 2026
US-based financial services company Robinhood has received authorisation from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to introduce its retail investing platform in the Middle East from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The authorisation allows Robinhood to offer trading and custody services across 10 DFSA-approved asset classes, including equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and investment tokens. The company plans to launch its product suite in the region in 2027, giving local investors access to global financial markets.
Robinhood’s regional operations will be based in DIFC and led by Salah Kaddoura, Senior Executive Officer and President of Robinhood MENA, who will oversee the company’s local team and regional expansion.
DIFC Authority CEO Arif Amiri said Robinhood’s arrival strengthens DIFC’s financial ecosystem and reflects international firms’ continued interest in Dubai as a base for regional growth.
The move adds another international financial services company to DIFC’s community and highlights the role of financial technology in expanding access to investment opportunities across the region.
