Dubai – 9 October 2026
The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has amended specific regulatory requirements for credit rating agencies and prudential reporting following Consultation Paper No. 174 (CP 174).
The amendments to prudential reporting came into effect on 2 October 2026. They include a redesigned B110 form that consolidates information previously reported through forms B180 and B120. Authorised firms are required to complete only the data items applicable to their reporting requirements.
Changes to credit rating agency requirements will come into effect on 1 January 2027. These introduce a more principles based approach to assessing relationships that could create, or reasonably be perceived as creating, conflicts of interest. The amendments also remove certain duplicative or unnecessarily prescriptive disclosure requirements, while retaining the obligation to provide sufficient information for users to understand how credit ratings are determined.
The DFSA has also published a Feedback Statement addressing the requirements considered under CP 174. Firms affected by the amendments should consult the relevant DFSA publications and applicable rules for further details of their regulatory obligations.
