Dubai – 8 October 2026
Art can often speak to feelings that are difficult to put into words. This October, RARARES Gallery in DIFC explores desire, dreams and the human heart through The Hunt of the Unicorn: Karkadann of Desire, running from 6 to 26 October 2026 at Gate Avenue 3.
The exhibition brings together works by Seoul-based sculptor Chunkook Lee, RARARES founder and artist Marina Baisel, and Moscow-based artist Tatiana Chursina. Through sculpture, mixed media and abstract painting, the artists offer different perspectives on longing and the things people seek in life.
At the centre of the exhibition is the unicorn, a symbol often connected with beauty, mystery and something just beyond reach. Here, it represents more than a mythical creature it reflects the human desire to search, dream and reach for something meaningful.
Each artist approaches this idea differently, creating works that invite visitors to consider their own hopes, emotions and personal experiences. Rather than presenting desire as simply wanting something, the exhibition explores the deeper feelings that can come with searching for connection, fulfilment or a sense of belonging.
For those visiting DIFC this month, The Hunt of the Unicorn: Karkadann of Desire offers a quiet opportunity to pause and look beyond the everyday, perhaps finding a small reflection of the human heart within the art.
