Dubai – 10 August 2026

DIFC’s Gate Village plays host to a free, cross-generational art exhibition running throughout August.

Opera Gallery in Dubai’s International Financial Centre (DIFC) is currently hosting “Summer Vibes,” a major group exhibition that pairs post-war masters with some of the most recognisable names in contemporary and pop art. The show opened on 1 July and runs daily until 31 August 2026, with free admission throughout.

Staged at Gate Village, Building 3, the exhibition is part of Opera Gallery’s annual “Summer Vibes” programme, which is presented at selected gallery locations during the summer. The Dubai edition brings together an international selection of artists, spanning post-war masters, contemporary figures and pop-art icons.

A Dialogue Across Generations

The premise of “Summer Vibes” is to create a conversation between artistic eras, placing 20th-century giants alongside the pop-inflected icons who have shaped visual culture more recently. It’s an approach designed to be accessible to casual visitors while still offering serious depth for collectors and enthusiasts.

Featured Post-War Masters
Pablo Picasso — represented in the show as one of the anchoring figures of modern art
Marc Chagall — bringing his distinctive lyrical, dreamlike style to the mix
Fernando Botero — known for his voluminous, exaggerated figurative works

Contemporary and Pop Icons
Yayoi Kusama — whose immersive Infinity Nets feature among the exhibition’s highlights
KAWS — showing, among other works, a monumental Companion sculpture in its grey colourway
Shepard Fairey — the street-art-turned-gallery favourite behind the “Obey” aesthetic
Julian Opie — celebrated for his pared-back, digitally inspired portraiture
Pieter Obels — contributing sculptural work to the exhibition

Together, the line-up spans painting, sculpture and mixed media, tracing how artistic expression has evolved from the mid-20th century through to today’s contemporary scene.

Visiting Details

Where: Opera Gallery, Gate Village, Building 3, DIFC, Dubai
When: Daily, until 31 August 2026
Admission: Free entry

With Dubai’s cultural calendar traditionally quieter in the summer months, “Summer Vibes” offers a rare chance to see works by internationally recognised artists without leaving the city — and without paying a ticket price. As a commercial gallery, Opera Gallery’s exhibited pieces are generally available for purchase, so those curious about specific works can enquire directly with the gallery.

The exhibition closes at the end of August, giving visitors the remainder of the month to catch it before it comes down.
