Dubai – 22 September 2026
Negroni Week returns to Dubai from 21 to 27 September 2026, with bars and restaurants across the city marking the occasion with different interpretations of the classic Italian cocktail. In DIFC, the week brings together several venues offering variations on the traditional Negroni, alongside a dedicated cocktail masterclass.
Traditionally made with gin, vermouth and a bitter aperitif, the Negroni is known for its distinctive balance of bitter, sweet and herbal flavours. Its simple three-part structure has also made it a versatile base for contemporary interpretations, with bartenders introducing different ingredients while retaining elements of the original drink.
In DIFC, Chic Nonna is presenting three versions during the week, including its classic Negroni, as well as variations incorporating chocolate and coconut. The latter combines coconut and maraschino with the familiar characteristics of the cocktail. The selection will be available from 21 to 27 September, from 12pm onwards.
At Sexy Fish Dubai, the Negroni Week menu takes a different approach, bringing together flavours such as pineapple, raspberry, black cardamom and coffee. The three variations form part of a selection titled Vanishing Crimson, with each drink drawing on different combinations of fruit, spice and botanical flavours. They will be available from 21 to 27 September.
The programme also includes a more interactive element at Aviary at The Guild, where Bar Manager Jefersson Anzola will host a Negroni masterclass on 22 September. The session will look at the history of the cocktail, its classic preparation and some of the ways it has evolved over time. It will conclude with a Mystery Box Challenge, allowing participants to experiment with different ingredients and develop their own interpretation.
Meanwhile, ZEA at Emirates Financial Towers is marking the week with its Signature Negroni, accompanied by a selection of chef’s bites. The offering will be available throughout the week from 21 to 27 September.
While the Negroni remains recognisable through its characteristic combination of bitter and aromatic flavours, the DIFC selections demonstrate how the cocktail can take on very different profiles. Ingredients such as coconut, chocolate, tropical fruit, raspberry, coffee and spices introduce new flavours without moving entirely away from the character of the original drink.
With Negroni Week taking place until 27 September, the programme provides a snapshot of how a long-established cocktail continues to be adapted by contemporary bars and restaurants, including several venues across DIFC.
