Dubai – 07 July 2026
London’s acclaimed two-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, Gymkhana, will open its first UAE outpost at Gate Village in Dubai International Financial Centre DIFC on 1 September 2026, bringing its award-winning cuisine and signature hospitality to the region for the first time.
Founded by siblings Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi of JKS Restaurants, Gymkhana has earned international recognition for its refined interpretation of Indian cuisine since opening in London’s Mayfair in 2013. The restaurant received its first Michelin star within nine months of opening and was awarded a second Michelin star in 2024. Following successful expansions to Riyadh and Las Vegas, Dubai becomes the latest destination in the brand’s global growth.
Pavan Pardasani, Global CEO of JKS Restaurants, said Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading culinary destinations made it the natural choice for Gymkhana’s next chapter. He added that the restaurant aims to introduce its distinctive approach to Indian cuisine and hospitality to a new audience while remaining true to the heritage that defines the brand.
Welcoming the announcement, Saleh Al Akrabi, Chief Real Estate Officer at DIFC Investments, said Gymkhana’s arrival further strengthens DIFC’s reputation as one of Dubai’s premier dining destinations.
“DIFC is proud to be the home of Gymkhana’s UAE debut. As Dubai’s leading hub for world-class gastronomy, Gate Village is the perfect stage for Gymkhana’s celebrated two-Michelin-starred dining experience. We look forward to welcoming residents, professionals and international visitors to experience its renowned hospitality in the heart of the city.”
The new restaurant will span two floors and accommodate up to 137 guests, with an additional outdoor terrace. The interiors draw inspiration from India’s historic gymkhana clubs, featuring warm lighting, patterned ceilings, elegant banquette seating, mirrored ceilings, ornate chandeliers and a signature peacock bar.
The menu will showcase Gymkhana’s celebrated Indian cuisine, including chaat-style sharing plates, tandoor-grilled specialties, classic curries and biryanis, alongside a selection of dishes created exclusively for the Dubai location.
The opening further enhances DIFC’s growing reputation as a lifestyle and culinary destination, complementing its diverse collection of internationally acclaimed restaurants. Easily accessible via Financial Centre Metro Station, DIFC continues to attract residents, business professionals and international visitors seeking world-class dining experiences.
