Construction is officially underway on the Dubai Loop, a high-speed underground transport network that is expected to redefine how people travel to and from Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Developed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in partnership with The Boring Company, the first phase of the project will include a route connecting DIFC and Dubai Mall. Once operational, the journey is expected to take approximately three minutes, providing a faster alternative to road travel during peak hours.
For the DIFC community, the project represents a significant step towards improved accessibility. Residents, employees, and visitors can look forward to quicker connections with one of Dubai’s busiest retail and entertainment destinations, while businesses may benefit from enhanced mobility and easier access for clients, partners, and talent.
The Dubai Loop also aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of creating a smarter, more sustainable transport network. By shifting more journeys underground, the project is expected to help ease road congestion around key commercial districts, including DIFC, while supporting the city’s continued economic growth.
