About the ICD Brookfield Place

ICD Brookfield Place is a prominent mixed-use development located in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), representing a collaboration between the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and Brookfield Property Partners. Designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners, the project broke ground in January 2016, replacing earlier plans for the now-canceled Lighthouse Tower.

It marked the first major DIFC construction initiative following the 2008 financial crisis, signaling renewed confidence in Dubai’s commercial real estate market. Completed in late 2020, the tower stands 282 meters tall with 53 stories and offers approximately 990,000 square feet of Grade A office space, making it one of the largest and most sophisticated office buildings in the region. Alongside the tower, the five-level retail podium includes 160,000 square feet of curated amenities such as restaurants, wellness facilities, retail outlets, and cultural venues. At the heart of the development is a dramatic five-story “summer garden,” a public atrium soaring 31 meters high, designed to host exhibitions, performances, and events while connecting seamlessly with the DIFC Gate Precinct.

The building has achieved numerous sustainability and technology milestones, earning LEED Platinum certification the tallest and largest project in the EMEA region to do so as well as Wired Score and Smart Score Platinum certifications for excellence in digital connectivity and smart building infrastructure. Since opening, ICD Brookfield Place has become home to prestigious global firms such as Julius Baer, Natixis, EY, Latham & Watkins, and Akin Gump, while high-end concepts like The Arts Club and the Sky Suites launched in 2024, further cementing the tower's status as a luxury business address.

In April 2024, a 49% stake in ICD Brookfield Place was acquired by Abu Dhabi’s Lunate and Saudi Arabia’s Olayan Financing Company, while ICD and Brookfield retained majority ownership and operational control. Today, the development functions as a vertical village within DIFC, seamlessly blending premium office space with retail, dining, wellness, and cultural programming. With its forward-thinking design, sustainable construction, and community-centered approach, ICD Brookfield Place has redefined what it means to work and live in a financial hub, establishing itself as one of Dubai’s most iconic and future-ready destinations.
