Dubai – 31 July 2026
Dubai’s appeal to the world’s biggest investment firms continues to grow.
In another milestone for the city’s booming financial sector, Symmetry Investments, a global hedge fund founded by a former Millennium Management portfolio manager, has secured regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to establish operations in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The move adds yet another high-profile investment firm to DIFC’s rapidly expanding hedge fund ecosystem, reinforcing the Centre’s reputation as one of the world’s fastest-growing destinations for asset managers, institutional investors, and global financial talent.
Founded in 2014 by former Millennium executive Feng Guo, Symmetry Investments manages global macro and fixed-income strategies and operates from financial hubs including Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York, Jersey, and the Cayman Islands. Its expansion into Dubai reflects the increasing confidence international fund managers have in the emirate’s business-friendly regulatory environment and strategic location.
The approval comes as DIFC continues to attract some of the world’s leading hedge funds, with the Centre now home to more than 100 firms. Access to regional capital, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and a robust regulatory framework has positioned Dubai as a preferred gateway for investment firms looking to expand across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
