Dubai – 8 September 2026
Mirae Asset Financial Group, one of Asia’s leading independent financial services organisations, has strengthened its Middle East presence with the opening of a new office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Headquartered in South Korea, Mirae Asset Financial Group manages more than USD 800 billion in assets globally, across asset management, wealth management, securities, investment banking, insurance and alternative investments.
Its investment arm, Mirae Asset Global Investments, manages more than USD 400 billion and operates across 22 markets, offering investment solutions across equities, fixed income, ETFs, multi-asset strategies, alternatives, private markets and thematic investments.
The new office at Emirates Financial Towers, operated by Mirae Asset Investment Managers (DIFC) Limited, has received a Prudential Category 3C Regulatory Licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). The licence enables the firm to manage and distribute collective investment funds to institutional and professional clients across the GCC.
The Dubai platform will support Mirae Asset’s strategy to deepen relationships with institutional investors, family offices and distribution partners, while expanding access to India-focused and global investment opportunities across the Middle East and East Africa.
His Excellency Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, said:
“Mirae Asset’s decision to establish a regulated presence in DIFC further reinforces Dubai’s position as a global centre for wealth and asset management. We look forward to supporting Mirae Asset as it expands its presence in the region.”
Mr Young Kim, President and Chief Global Officer and Director of Mirae Asset Global Investments Co. Limited, said:
“Opening our DIFC office marks an important milestone in Mirae Asset’s regional growth strategy. Dubai’s strong financial ecosystem and global connectivity position us well to expand our distribution capabilities and provide clients with access to opportunities across global markets.”
Mr Swarup Mohanty, Non-Executive Director of Mirae Asset Investment Managers (DIFC) Ltd., added:
“Through our Dubai platform, we aim to deepen relationships with institutional investors, family offices, distribution partners and the large Indian diaspora, bringing together our India expertise and global investment capabilities.”
DIFC continues to attract leading international wealth and asset management firms, with 10,018 active registered companies, including 592 wealth and asset management firms.
Mirae Asset’s new DIFC presence strengthens its ability to serve investors across the GCC while connecting regional clients with opportunities across global markets.
