Moro Hub, part of Digital DEWA the technology arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has entered into a strategic partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to boost digital innovation and promote sustainable growth. The agreement, signed during the 2025 Dubai FinTech Summit, reflects Dubai’s broader vision to become a global leader in technology-driven economic development.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of key figures, including HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and HE Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC. The agreement was formalized by Moro Hub CEO Mohammad Bin Sulaiman and DIFC COO Alya Al Zarouni, with other top executives also in attendance, such as Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, and Eng. Marwan bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA.

HE Saeed Al Tayer noted that the partnership supports national goals like the UAE Net Zero by 2050 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double Dubai’s economy over the next decade by investing in green and digital initiatives. HE Essa Kazim added that this collaboration will provide businesses with access to advanced digital services that support sustainable and economic progress.

Mohammad Bin Sulaiman emphasized the importance of improving digital infrastructure and data security through this partnership. Alya Al Zarouni pointed out that the agreement will enhance DIFC’s ability to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions to its clients, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for innovation and technology.

The partnership will focus on offering services in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, GPU computing, and enterprise resource planning (ERP). Moro Hub’s role is particularly significant due to its recognition by Guinness World Records for operating the world’s largest solar-powered data centre highlighting the sustainability aspect of this initiative.
